Well this is a bit dull.

Google+ sunsetting

A few years ago I naively argued that Google+ was the future of social networking.

It clearly wasn’t.

I do stand by my thinking that it was a superior product. But honestly the “social” part never really took off. There are some great communities that took off and I have loved being a part of – but my friends on other social networks and offline never really engaged.

Why? Honestly I’m not sure …

Build it and they shall come …

Except they didn’t.

Google quickly appeared to loose interest and started to strip out some of the best features for use in other products.

I will miss G+

But I’m glad it existed.

I’m glad I played part of it.

Farewell old friend.
